Do I need the official WhatsApp Business API?
Yes, and we always recommend it. Tools that connect to WhatsApp unofficially break the terms of service and Meta suspends those numbers. With the official API your number is verified, carries the business check mark and is not at risk.
How long does it take to go live?
A chatbot covering FAQs and routing to your team takes 2 to 3 weeks. With integrations into your booking, inventory or CRM system, plan for 4 to 6 weeks. Meta verification usually takes 1 to 3 business days.
Can I keep my current number?
Yes — if you use it on regular WhatsApp Business today it can be migrated to the API. Note that once migrated the number stops working in the phone app and all support moves to the web console we hand over, where your team can still reply manually.
